Delightful blondies infused with warm cinnamon and fresh apples, perfect for a cozy treat.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1.25 cups all purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg

Wet ingredients

  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.666 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 apple granny smith apple, peeled and diced into ¼ inch chunks

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour an 8×8 inch dish.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt butter, stir in sugar, vanilla, then add egg.
  • Combine wet and dry, then fold in apples. Spread batter in dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting.

Notes

For best results, use fresh apples and do not overmix the batter.
