Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blend sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour, milk, and salt until smooth.
Melt 1 tbsp butter in oven-safe skillet, sauté apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for 5 minutes. Remove apples and set aside.
Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to skillet, melt in oven for 2-4 minutes.
Arrange apples in skillet, pour batter over, and bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and browned. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of syrup for extra sweetness.
