A delicious and fluffy baked apple pancake that’s perfect for breakfast or dessert. Easy to make and visually impressive!

Ingredients

Butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)

Apples

  • 2-3 apples sliced apples (thinly sliced, e.g., gala)

Sugar

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar

Spices

  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)

Vanilla

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Eggs

  • 3 eggs eggs

Flour

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Milk

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy free as desired)

Salt

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Powdered Sugar

  • for dusting powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blend sugar, vanilla, eggs, flour, milk, and salt until smooth.
  • Melt 1 tbsp butter in oven-safe skillet, sauté apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for 5 minutes. Remove apples and set aside.
  • Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to skillet, melt in oven for 2-4 minutes.
  • Arrange apples in skillet, pour batter over, and bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and browned. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of syrup for extra sweetness.
