Delicious and easy-to-make oatmeal bars with a sweet apple filling and a buttery crust, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Crust

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix chopped apples with 2 tbsp water, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp salt. Set aside.
Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt for the crust. Cut in butter until crumbly.
Press half of the crust mixture into a baking pan. Spread apple filling over it, then top with remaining crust mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes until golden. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
