Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
  • ½ tablespoon kosher salt
  • ¼ ounce instant or active dry yeast packet (or 2 ¼ teaspoons)
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (105°F)

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  • Add warm water and stir until combined; dough will be sticky.
  • Cover and let rise at room temperature for 2-10 hours or overnight.
  • Turn dough onto floured surface, fold edges into center, shape into a loaf.
  • Place on parchment, score top, and let rest 20-30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F, bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crusty.
