1tablespoonbutter
1oniononion(peeled and chopped)
3clovesgarlic(peeled and minced)
0.25cupflour
3cupsbeef broth
1cupall-purpose cream

1 can8 ounceswhole mushrooms, drained
1tablespooncanola oil
Instructions
Slice beef into 1/4-inch thick pieces, season with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a pan, sear beef until browned, then remove and keep warm. Cook mushrooms briefly, then set aside.
Add butter to the pan, cook onions and garlic until softened. Stir in flour and cook 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in broth, add beef back to the pan, bring to boil, then simmer covered for 1-1.5 hours until tender. Add cream and mushrooms, cook 1-2 minutes.
