A hearty and creamy beef dish featuring tender sirloin and savory mushrooms, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 3 pounds beef sirloin
  • salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 can (8 ounces) whole mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion onion, peeled and chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup all-purpose cream

Instructions 

  • Slice beef into 1/4-inch pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a pan, sear beef until browned, then remove and set aside.
  • Add butter, cook onions and garlic until softened, then stir in flour and cook 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in broth, add beef back, bring to boil, then simmer 1-1.5 hours until tender.
  • Stir in cream, heat through, add mushrooms, and cook 1-2 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

For a richer flavor, simmer longer and adjust seasoning as needed.
