A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a rich butter sauce for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped (any color)
  • 1 cup zucchini, sliced
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced

Sauce & Seasonings

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • to taste Freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef until browned, then remove.
  • Add bell peppers and zucchini; sauté until slightly softened. Stir in garlic.
  • Add chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and oregano; stir well.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and add to thicken sauce. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in butter until melted, then return beef and combine everything.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of sesame oil or sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
