Delight in these tender, fruity breakfast bars with a crunchy topping and a bright lemon glaze, perfect for a quick morning treat or snack.
Ingredients

(start with 2 tbsp and add as needed)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8×8 inch pan with nonstick spray or foil.
Cream together butter, 3/4 cup sugar, and lemon zest until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined. Toss blueberries with 1/4 cup flour and set aside.
Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Add half to wet ingredients, then remaining flour with milk. Fold in blueberries.
Spread batter into pan, sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar, and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10-15 minutes, then prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar with 2 tbsp heavy cream. Drizzle over bars and top with lemon zest.
Notes
Ensure blueberries are lightly coated with flour to prevent sinking during baking.
