A delicious pastry featuring flaky puff pastry topped with sweet apples, cinnamon, caramel, and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Ingredients
Dough

sheet
puff pastry, thawed
Filling

large
granny smith apples, thinly sliced

light brown sugar

ground cinnamon

caramel sauce
Egg wash

egg, beaten with a splash of water
Topping
Flakey sea salt, optional

Instructions
Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Roll pastry to 1/4" thickness and cut into six rectangles, scoring a border.
Fill centers with sliced apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then brush borders with egg wash.
Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden, then cool slightly.
Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky salt, if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a dash of vanilla to the apple filling.
