Instructions
Brew the black tea in milk, then strain and set aside.
Prepare the custard by whisking egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla, then cook with the tea-infused milk until thickened.
Let the custard cool, then layer with cake or biscuits soaked in chai, and top with whipped cream.
Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form, then layer on top.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
Adjust sweetness and spice levels to taste. Using high-quality chai masala enhances flavor.
