Delight in soft, flavorful naan stuffed with cheese and infused with garlic, perfect for any meal or snack.

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water (not hot)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or ghee

For the Filling & Topping

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee (melted, for brushing)

Instructions 

  • Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water; let sit 10 minutes until frothy.
  • Add flour, yogurt, salt, and oil; knead until smooth, then let rise 1–2 hours.
  • Divide dough into 6 balls, roll into ovals, fill with cheese and garlic, then fold and seal.
  • Cook naan on high heat 1–2 minutes per side until golden and blistered.
  • Brush with melted butter or ghee and garnish with herbs if desired.

Notes

For best results, use fresh garlic and high-quality cheese.
