Ingredients
Dough

all-purpose flour
(divided, plus more if needed)

envelopes
rapid-rise yeast
(about 4 ½ teaspoons)

whole milk

sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions
Mix 3 cups of flour, yeast, sugar, egg, and salt in a bowl. Add warm milk and knead for 2 minutes.
Add remaining flour, cheese, garlic, and chives. Knead until soft and pulling away from sides.
Let dough rise covered for 45 minutes until doubled. Punch down and divide into 12 balls.
Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 22-27 minutes until golden brown.
Mix melted butter, garlic, and chives. Brush over warm rolls and sprinkle with salt. Serve warm.
