This irresistible pull-apart bread combines cheesy, garlicky goodness with fresh herbs for a perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110 F)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar or mozzarella or a mix
  • 0.5 cup fresh parsley or dill, finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup corn kernels (optional)

Instructions 

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit until frothy.
  • Add flour, salt, egg, and softened butter; knead into a smooth dough. Let rise until doubled.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough and spread melted butter, garlic, herbs, and cheese. Add corn if using.
  • Cut into squares and arrange in a baking dish. Let rise for 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the top with garlic butter before baking.
