1loafsourdough or crusty Italian bread loaf
1.5cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
0.5cupunsalted butter, melted
3clovesgarlic, finely minced
2tablespoonschopped fresh parsley
0.25teaspoonsalt
OptionalCrushed red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning(Optional for added flavor)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
Cut a 1-inch grid into the loaf without cutting through the bottom crust. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Stuff cheese into the cuts. Brush with garlic butter.
Wrap in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake 10-15 more minutes until golden and cheese melts.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
