A quick and flavorful pasta dish combining ground beef, taco seasonings, and melted cheese, topped with crunchy tortilla chips and sour cream.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 0.91 kg large shells pasta
  • 15 ml canola oil
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 30 ml taco seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 60 ml water
  • 240 ml jarred salsa
  • 150 g cheddar cheese shredded

Additional toppings

  • Cheese (extra shredded cheese for topping)
  • Crushed tortilla chips
  • Sour cream
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic, cook for 1 minute, then stir in seasonings, Worcestershire, water, and cook until water evaporates.
  • Mix in cooked pasta, salsa, and shredded cheese; stir until cheese melts and everything is combined.
  • Serve immediately topped with extra cheese, crushed tortilla chips, sour cream, and parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime or hot sauce.
