Ingredients

  • 1 piece ripe avocado (peeled and pitted)
  • 1 piece ripe banana (peeled and sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions 

  • Add the avocado, banana, cocoa powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping sides if needed.
  • Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired; blend briefly.
  • Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
  • Optional: garnish with cocoa powder or shaved dark chocolate.
