A moist and flavorful cinnamon apple bread perfect for breakfast or a snack, combining fresh apples with warm spices.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg

Wet ingredients

  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/3 cup butter or coconut oil, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk ((can sub any milk))
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large apple (any kind you like)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients just until blended.
  • Peel and cube the apple, then mix with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Layer half of batter, then cinnamon apples, then remaining batter and apples.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional cinnamon before baking.
