A delicious homemade cinnamon roll cake that combines the flavors of classic cinnamon rolls in a convenient cake form.

Ingredients

Flour and Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Butter for batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted, 1 stick)

Filling

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon

Icing

  • 2 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 5 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients and combine with wet ingredients to make batter.
  • Spread batter in the prepared pan. Mix brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon for filling; sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden. Let cool slightly.
  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing; drizzle over warm cake before serving.
