A moist and flavorful loaf cake infused with cinnamon and topped with a sweet cinnamon sugar swirl. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for sugar mixture)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients, then add buttermilk, egg, and oil; stir until combined.
  • Pour half batter into pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, then add remaining batter and top with more sugar.
  • Swirl batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
