Ingredients

Pumpkin Puree

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree

Cake Mix

  • 1 box (about 18 oz) spice cake mix

Nuts (optional)

  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (plus extra for topping)

Brown Sugar

  • 0.5 cup brown sugar

Butter

  • 0.5 cup melted butter

Water

  • 0.25 cup water

Eggs

  • 3 large large eggs

Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Whipped Cream

  • whipped cream (for serving)

Caramel Sauce

  • caramel sauce (for drizzling (optional))

Ground Cinnamon

  • ground cinnamon (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions 

  • Mix pumpkin, melted butter, water, and eggs until smooth.
  • Stir in cake mix and pumpkin pie spice; fold in nuts if using.
  • Pour batter into greased crockpot, sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  • Cook on low for 3-4 hours; check with toothpick for doneness.
  • Cool slightly, then serve with whipped cream, caramel, cinnamon, and nuts.

Notes

For extra flavor, add more nuts or a dash of cinnamon on top before serving.
