This flavorful low-carb bowl packs 35g of protein with tender steak and melty cheese, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb Ribeye steak, thinly sliced (For easier slicing, freeze for 10-15 minutes.)

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (Avocado oil is a great substitute.)

Vegetables

  • 1 large Green bell pepper, sliced (Adds sweetness and color.)
  • 1 large Yellow or sweet onion, sliced (Essential for authentic flavor.)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced (Add towards the end of sautéing.)

Cheese

  • 8 oz Provolone cheese, shredded or sliced (Tear into smaller pieces if using deli-sliced.)

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Optional toppings

  • 8 oz Mushrooms, sliced (Optional for earthiness.)
  • sliced Jalapeños (Optional for heat.)
  • chopped Fresh parsley (Optional for garnish.)
  • splash Worcestershire sauce (Optional for flavor depth.)
  • splash Heavy cream or cream cheese (Optional for creaminess.)

Instructions 

  • Sauté sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms in olive oil until tender.
  • Add sliced steak and cook until browned.
  • Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and optional ingredients; cook briefly.
  • Top with shredded provolone cheese and let melt.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a lower sodium version, reduce added salt and Worcestershire sauce.
