Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (or substitute with whole wheat flour)
  • 1 cup warm water (between 100°F and 110°F)
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast (ensure freshness)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional for less sweet loaf)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (essential for taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced, use fresh if possible)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary (chopped, or use dried at half the amount)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (optional, or substitute with any hard cheese)

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and stir until combined to form a dough.
  • Knead the dough briefly, then let it rest covered for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Roll out the dough and place it in the skillet.
  • Spread minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Cook for about 15-20 minutes until golden and cooked through. Serve warm.
