Soft, fluffy homemade dinner rolls perfect for any meal. Easy to make with simple ingredients and a quick rise.
Ingredients
Dough

milk (whole milk is best)
½
cup
water

tablespoons
granulated sugar
2 ¼

active dry yeast
(or one packet)

salt

egg

all-purpose flour

tablespoons
unsalted butter (at room temperature, cut into cubes)

tablespoon
melted butter (for brushing on rolls after baking)
Instructions
Warm milk and water to 110-115°F, then combine in a bowl. Add sugar and yeast, let sit 5-10 min until foamy.
Add salt, egg, flour, and softened butter. Mix on low until combined, then knead with dough hook for 8 min until smooth.
Transfer dough to oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 30-60 min until doubled. Shape into 15 balls and place in greased dish.
Cover rolls and let rise 20 min. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake for 19-23 min until golden.
Brush baked rolls with melted butter and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure not to add too much flour to keep rolls light and fluffy.
