These soft, fluffy dinner rolls come together quickly, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten egg
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions 

  • Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Stir in oil and beaten egg.
  • Add flour and salt gradually; knead until smooth.
  • Divide dough into 15 pieces, shape into rolls, and place on a greased sheet.
  • Let rise for 10 minutes, then bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

For softer rolls, brush with butter after baking.
