A flavorful and easy-to-make breakfast sausage using ground chicken, infused with maple syrup and sage for a delicious start to your day.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Instructions 

  • Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  • Form mixture into 12 balls.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook sausages for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  • Repeat with remaining sausages, adding more oil if needed.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use wet fingers to prevent sticking when forming patties.
