This quick and flavorful stir fry combines tender chicken with crisp cabbage and a savory sauce, perfect for an exciting dinner.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 pound Chicken breast (thinly sliced)

Vegetables

  • 4 cups Green cabbage (shredded finely)
  • 1 medium Carrot (julienned)

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 inch Fresh ginger (grated)

Sauces & Oils

  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (mixed with water)

Garnishes

  • 2 tablespoons Spring onions (sliced thin)
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic, ginger, and carrot; cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add cabbage and sauce mixture; cook until cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in cornstarch mixture, cook until sauce thickens, then garnish with spring onions, chili flakes, and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the sesame seeds before garnishing.
