Ingredients
Dry ingredients
2
cups
Old-fashioned rolled oats
(provides hearty texture and keeps these bars wholesome)
1
cup
All-purpose flour
(helps bind the bars together with a tender bite)
0.5
cup
Brown sugar
(adds natural sweetness and moisture to balance the oats)
1
teaspoon
Baking powder
(ensures a light, slightly fluffy structure)
0.25
teaspoon
Salt
(enhances the depth of flavors without overpowering)
0.5
cup
Unsalted butter
(melts into the oats for a rich, buttery crunch)
0.33
cup
Honey or maple syrup
(natural sweeteners that add stickiness and depth)
1
cup
Chocolate hazelnut spread
(like Nutella, giving that luscious, nutty chocolate flavor)
0.25
cup
Heavy cream or milk
(thins out the spread slightly for easier swirling)
0.5
cup
Toasted hazelnuts
(crushed or chopped for that signature crunchy texture and nutty aroma)
0.5
cup
Dark chocolate chips
(optional sprinkled on top for extra bursts of chocolate goodness)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in honey or maple syrup. Combine with dry ingredients.
