Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder (optional) (for extra fluffiness)

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 0.75 cup warm water (more if needed)

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Add oil and gradually pour in water, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth; rest for 30 minutes.
  • Divide dough into 8 balls, rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll each ball into a 6-8 inch circle and cook on a hot skillet for 30 seconds per side.
  • Serve warm with your favorite fillings or toppings.

Notes

Keep the dough covered while resting to prevent drying out.
