Instructions
Combine sliced pears with ¼ cup brown sugar, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon nutmeg. Let sit for 15 minutes.
Mix oats, flour, remaining ¼ cup brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until crumbly.
Cook pear mixture in skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes until soft.
Sprinkle oat topping over pears, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 15 minutes until golden.
Remove from heat, cool slightly, and serve warm with optional ice cream or caramel.
Notes
