A rich and moist bread combining the sweetness of dates and figs with crunchy walnuts, perfect for a cozy snack or dessert.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Grease a 1-lb loaf pan.
Combine dates, figs, butter, and baking soda; pour boiling water over and let stand 15 minutes.
Beat sugar, walnuts, and eggs into the fruit mixture; stir until combined.
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; fold into the wet ingredients until just blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days for best freshness.
