Ingredients

Dairy and Oils

  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment.
  • Whisk melted butter, avocado oil, and sugar for 1-2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until light.
  • Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold dry ingredients into wet, then add chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into pan, sprinkle with walnuts, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool before slicing.

Notes

For extra crunch, add more walnuts or chocolate chips.
