Delicious homemade garlic bread sticks with a crispy exterior and flavorful garlic butter topping, perfect as a side or snack.
Ingredients
Yeast and Liquids
1cupwarm water (about 43°C / 110°F)
2 1/4teaspoonsactive dry yeast
1tablespoongranulated sugar
Dough
2 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
1teaspoonfine salt
Garlic Butter Mixture
3tablespoonsunsalted butter melted
3clovesgarlic minced
2tablespoonsfresh parsley finely chopped
1/2teaspoondried oregano
1/2teaspoondried basil
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
2tablespoonsgrated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit until foamy (5-10 min).
Mix in olive oil, salt, and 2 cups flour; form shaggy dough.
Add remaining flour gradually; knead until smooth (5-7 min).
Let dough rise in oiled bowl, covered, for 1 hour or until doubled.
Shape dough into rectangle, cut into 12 strips, and arrange on baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and salt. Brush over bread sticks, bake 12-15 min, then brush with remaining butter and sprinkle Parmesan.
