A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken in a sweet and savory garlic brown sugar sauce.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions 

  • Whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar; set aside.
  • Mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry; set aside.
  • Cook chicken in oil until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in brown sugar mixture, simmer, then add slurry and cook until thickened, 1-2 minutes.
