A deliciously cheesy garlic bread perfect as a side or appetizer. Crispy on the edges and gooey inside, it's easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread loaf
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the bread in half horizontally and place on the baking sheet.
  • Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Spread over bread halves.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden. Broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil briefly at the end.
