Delicious homemade garlic flatbread with a crispy exterior and flavorful garlic butter.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt (for the dough)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup warm water (about 100–110°F / 38–43°C)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Garlic Butter

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt (for the garlic butter)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions 

  • Mix flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Add water and olive oil; knead into a smooth dough.
  • Rest the dough for 10–15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare garlic butter by mixing melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Divide dough into 6–8 pieces, roll into circles about 6–8 inches wide.
  • Cook each flatbread in a hot skillet 1–2 minutes per side until golden and puffed.
  • Brush hot flatbreads with garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional parsley or garlic.
