Ingredients

Dough

  • 3.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Instant-dry yeast
  • 3 tablespoons Butter melted
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 0.25 bunch Parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme chopped
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan freshly grated
  • 0.25 cup Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 0.33 of the chopped parsley Parsley (reserved for garlic butter)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Oregano

Instructions 

  • Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt; add warm milk, water, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
  • Add crushed garlic, thyme, parsley (reserve ⅓), and Parmesan; knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape into a ball, let rise in a warm place for 45-60 minutes until doubled.
  • Punch down, divide into 12 pieces, shape into balls, and arrange in a greased dish. Let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Melt butter, add crushed garlic, oregano, and reserved parsley; cook 2-3 minutes. Brush rolls with half, sprinkle Parmesan, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes.
  • Brush warm rolls with remaining garlic butter and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure the dough is kneaded until elastic and allow proper rising times.
