  • 1 pound ground beef (sirloin, chuck, or round)
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 pound russet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef, salt, and pepper; cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in diced onion and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and tomato paste; cook for 2 minutes.
  • Mix in potatoes, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  • Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
