A hearty and creamy dish combining tender ground beef, mushrooms, and sour cream served over fluffy rice.
Ingredients
Rice

long grain white rice

olive oil

white onion

sliced mushrooms
1 to 1 1/2

ground beef

black pepper

salted butter
1/4
cup
all-purpose flour

beef broth

tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce

teaspoon
garlic powder

sour cream

Dijon mustard

Instructions
Cook rice: rinse, combine with water, boil, simmer 15 mins, then fluff.
Sauté onion and mushrooms in olive oil until tender, about 7 mins. Remove and set aside.
Cook ground beef with salt and pepper until browned, drain excess fat.
Add butter and flour to beef, cook 2-3 mins. Stir in broth, Worcestershire, garlic, simmer until thickened.
Mix in sautéed vegetables, sour cream, and mustard. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer longer to thicken.
