A quick and flavorful Ground Beef Teriyaki dish perfect for weeknights, served over rice or lettuce leaves.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

For Serving

  • cooked rice or lettuce leaves (for serving)

Optional garnish

  • sesame seeds, green onions (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger powder, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water in a bowl.
  • Pour sauce into skillet with beef and cook until thickened.
  • Serve over rice or lettuce leaves, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

Adjust soy sauce for saltiness to taste.
