These delicious and nutritious energy balls are perfect for a quick snack or a healthy treat, packed with oats, cacao, and seeds.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats (use gluten-free if desired)
  • 3 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
  • 3 pitted dates
  • 2 tablespoons hulled hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (Nielsen-Massey brand)
  • Pinch salt
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons water (add gradually until mixture is sticky)

Instructions 

  • Combine all dry ingredients in a food processor.
  • Add vanilla extract and gradually add water until mixture becomes a sticky solid.
  • Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
