Custard Filling
1cupmilk
1/2cupsugar
3largeeggs
1tbspvanilla extract(opt for high-quality)
1tbspfresh ground cardamom
Instructions
Prepare the tart crust by mixing flour, cold butter, and sugar until crumbly. Press into tart pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, heat milk and half the sugar until warm. In a bowl, whisk eggs, remaining sugar, vanilla, and ground cardamom. Slowly pour warm milk into egg mixture, stirring constantly.
Pour the custard filling into the pre-baked crust and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until set.
Allow to cool before serving. Garnish with additional cardamom if desired.
Notes
Use high-quality vanilla extract for the best flavor.
