A deliciously rich and protein-packed dish featuring tender chicken in a honey garlic butter sauce served over creamy mac & cheese.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 fillets chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • chopped fresh parsley or chives

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear in olive oil for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked. Keep warm.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter, add garlic, cook until fragrant, stir in honey, and thicken. Coat chicken in sauce.
  • Boil salted water, cook macaroni until al dente, drain.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter, whisk in flour, add milk gradually, cook until thick, then stir in cheese until melted.
  • Toss macaroni in cheese sauce, plate with chicken on top, and garnish with parsley or chives.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in honey and garlic for a few hours before cooking.
