Enjoy fresh, warm homemade bread with a crispy crust and soft interior, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Dough

warm water (110-120°F)
1/3

granulated sugar
2 1/4
teaspoons
instant yeast (1 packet)

all-purpose flour

teaspoon
salt

tablespoons
vegetable or canola oil

tablespoons
unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit 10 min until bubbly.
Combine flour, salt, and oil; add yeast mixture and knead until elastic, about 8-10 min.
Shape dough into a ball, let rise in a warm place for 60-90 min until doubled.
Deflate, shape into a log, and let rise for another 50-60 min.
Preheat oven to 350°F; bake bread for 25-30 min until golden and hollow-sounding.
Brush crust with melted butter; cool 10 min before slicing.
Notes
For a softer crust, cover the bread with a towel while cooling.
