Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk (Use cold milk for best results.)

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (Grate your own for better melt.)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (For sprinkling on top.)

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (Can be substituted with fresh herbs.)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Add melted butter and cold milk; stir until a dough forms. Knead briefly and roll into a rectangle.
  • Cut dough into strips, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan, then fold or twist as desired.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce or ranch dressing.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the breadsticks with garlic butter before baking.
