Ingredients

Instructions
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until foamy (~5-10 min).
Combine flour and salt; add yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and water. Mix until just combined.
Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for 1 hour until doubled.
Divide dough into 8-10 pieces, shape into buns, place on baking sheet, and let rise 30-40 min.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush buns with egg wash and bake 15-18 min until golden.
Notes
For a shiny finish, brush buns with egg wash before baking.
