Instructions
Mix warm water, egg, sugar, salt, and yeast; whisk for 1 min to activate.
Add butter and most flour; mix until combined, then knead for 5-6 min until smooth.
Let dough rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
Divide dough into 8 balls, shape into smooth rounds, flatten to 3-3.5 inches, and let rise for 1-1.5 hours.
Brush with egg wash, sprinkle seeds, and bake at 400°F for 15-16 min until golden.
Cool on a rack before slicing and storing.
Notes
Ensure dough is slightly sticky but manageable; adjust flour as needed.
