Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup warm water (about 120°F)
  • 0.25 oz active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2.5 to 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 Tbsp Fresh minced Italian Parsley
  • 4 Tbsp Fresh minced basil
  • 2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions 

  • Combine warm water, yeast, sugar, and honey; let sit until frothy.
  • Add olive oil, salt, and gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
  • Knead dough until smooth, then let rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough and cut into strips; brush with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush with melted butter and additional herbs before baking.
