A moist and flavorful bread featuring crisp Honeycrisp apples and warm spices, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Dried ingredients

  • 1 C softened butter
  • 2 C sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla
  • 4 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice (or 1/4 tsp nutmeg)
  • 3 large Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored and chopped to the size of a pea

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  • Sift in dry ingredients and mix until thick.
  • Fold in apples and divide batter into pans.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, cool before serving.

Notes

Use fresh Honeycrisp apples for best flavor.
