Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
  • cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for a holiday twist) (optional)
  • ½ cup melted chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
  • Mix melted butter, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Stir in oats, flour, salt, and cinnamon until combined; batter will be loose.
  • Drop spoonfuls onto sheets, leaving 3 inches apart. Bake 6-8 minutes until golden.
  • Cool on sheets 5-7 minutes, then transfer to racks. Drizzle with melted chocolate.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.
