Ingredients
For the Korean BBQ Steak Marinade
1lbflank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
0.25cupsoy sauce
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
1tablespoonsesame oil
2clovesgarlic, minced
1teaspoongrated ginger
1tablespoonrice vinegar
1teaspoontoasted sesame seeds (optional)
0.5teaspoonblack pepper
For the Bowls
2cupscooked jasmine or short-grain white rice
1cupshredded carrots
1cucumberthinly sliced cucumber
1cupshredded red cabbage or kimchi
2green onionschopped
For the Spicy Cream Sauce
0.33cupmayonnaise
2tablespoonssriracha (adjust to taste)
1teaspoonlime juice
1teaspoonhoney
0.5teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, black pepper, and sesame seeds. Add steak slices, toss to coat, and marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Heat a skillet or grill pan with oil. Sear steak slices for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Keep warm.
Mix mayonnaise, sriracha, lime juice, honey, and garlic powder until smooth to make the spicy cream sauce.
Assemble bowls with rice, steak, carrots, cucumber, cabbage, then drizzle with sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
