A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and zesty lemon for a healthy, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb chicken breasts (boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces)

Oil

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

Vegetables

  • 1 head broccoli (cut into florets)

Fruits & Citrus

  • 1 lemon lemon (juiced and zested)

Herbs & Spices

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)

Salt & Pepper

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Broth & Water

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)

Garnish

  • as needed Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5-7 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic 30 seconds, then add broccoli and broth. Cover and cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Return chicken to skillet, add lemon juice and zest. Cook 1-2 minutes. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or your favorite herbs.
